I started investing in precious metals over 30 years ago.

My primary profession was real estate.  I specialized in finding good deals for myself and investors.

My wife and I moved to Florida to be near our grand children at a time when real estate was slow.

We started selling our metals on ebay.

The demand was large so we now do what I did in real estate.  We find good deals on metals and resell them at a small margin. Over 30 years of contacts in the metals business made this a natural for us.

We have become a licensed coin and bullion dealer in Florida and are members of several trade organizations.

We network with hundreds of coin and bullion dealers and purchase direct from major refiners or their authorized US distributors.  This means we can find most any coin or bullion item.  If there is something you are looking for that is not on our web site, just let us know. 

We have grown to be a five star 100% positive feedback power seller on ebay.  Some web sites post their own feedback or testimonials.  Obviously they choose the best ones.  We have no control over what feedback is left on ebay so it is completely unfiltered.  When choosing any precious metal company, it is a good idea to google their name and see what comes up.  For us google themetalsguy.

We started this web site to offer lower prices.  Ebay and paypal instant pay fees make items on ebay much more expensive.  

Many of our best web site customers come to us from ebay.  We checked several times with ebay to see if this violates their policies. It does not and ebay even has sponsored links directing customers to off eaby web sites.  This does not make sense to us, but there are aspects of ebay that don't make sense.

Two things ebay does not like.  One if someone sends us a message on ebays messaging system about an item we have listed on ebay and we direct them to this web site.  The other is they do no like us to transact off ebay business using their messaging system. If a customer purchases an item from us on ebay, we are free to encourage that customer to use our web site for greater savings.

So if you find an item you like on ebay whether one of our listings or another sellers listings, please do not use the ebay messaging system to contact us unless you wish to bid or purchase through ebay.  We can usually sell the same item for less.  Please either call 602-281-0331 or email  info@themetalsguy.com.

Paypal echecks are only $5.00 and that is one of the reasons we have a $10.00 handling fee per order.  The other $5.00 is to cover packaging materials or other minor items.  Paypal instant pay is 2.5% of the purchase price.  For  purchases under $200 you may choose instant pay at no additional charge.       

Our web site updates every 5 minutes with the change in precious metals spot prices.  We encourage phone calls which makes it easier to determine price at a given time.
